all you need is basil, garlic, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, and olive oil.
add a little ingredients at a time and just chop chop chop.
sadly my pictures don't do it justice. i don't really have a good camera nor do we have nice "kitchen supplies". the knife i used was dull which kind of bruised the basil but whatever, it's more about taste than looks.
try it out :)
final product with some added parmesan |
salad with arugula, tomatoes, red peppers, broccoli, chives, carrots, celery, toasted tamari sunflower seeds, and my usual homemade dressing.

Man, I've been itching to make some homemade pesto, and this might just be my final motivation. Did you use a blender or a food processor? We only have a blender here which is one of my hesitations because it's a bitch to clean ugh.
Also, sorry for just totally comment bombing all your posts haha
OH! and tell Matt that I've been seriously craving Ninos all week. Mmmm garlic rolls.
well look at the recipe! the reason they call it grandma's is cause there is no processing necessary. you just chop everything up. this worked out for me well since i don't have a food processor and our blender sucks... i use it to make hummus and that's rough enough.
no sorries. who doesn't like comments?
hah yeah.. italian food... they're opening up a new one in boca shortly.
