i can't wait.

i can't wait to be in paris; ignoring what i hear about the pickpockets, but being cautious nonetheless.
i can't wait to lay in the grass with you; reading, and writing new fiction together in our notebooks.
i can't wait to shop in markets for cheese.
i can't wait to eat chocolate croissants, falafel sandwiches from the marais jewish quarters, and eat macaroons because they won't actually have coconut in them for once.
i can't wait to walk around aimlessly, get lost in neighborhoods, and look up at the eiffel tower lightshow at nite.
i can't wait to get away for 3 days with you, even though we spend every day together and haven't gone over 9 months without being apart for more than 8 hours at at time.
i can't wait to get on a boat on the river seine and feel the breeze.
i can't wait to see if i'll actually try and search for the a l'etoile d'or shop for butter caramels.
i can't wait to take hundreds of photos of breathtaking architecture of buildings, and your face.
i can't wait to put my heels on, and knowingly take them off within minutes because i feel uncomfortable, unless we don't have to walk too far.
i can't wait to decide until the last minute if the weather is [bad] enough to spend euros on some museum like the pompidou or the rodin. not the louvre.
i can't wait to go to berthillon and eat icecream everyday, twice a day, for 3 days with you.
i can't wait to wander the pere lachaise cemetery at nite and feel creeped out.
i can't wait to avoid eating anywhere near the vicinity of champs-elysees.
i can't wait to see the best views of paris in montmartre by the sacre coeur or from the galeries lafayette.

i can wait, actually.
it's only 16 days away, afterall.

i didn't think i would miss paris because the people left a bad taste in my mouth. but i do, more and more all the time recently. some of the best moments in my trip abroad were there. grab a bottle of cheap champagne and sit across the water from the eiffel tower around midnight and watch it light up. the last time it lights up at 1 the structure lights go out and it's just sparkles. really beautiful.

and monmatre and sacre coeur were so so fabulous. i loved going up in the crypt and seeing all of paris!

there's a really great fabric shop there too, if you like to sew.

the pickpocket rumors are true. just watch out for the gypsies, if they talk to you and you respond you've already lost all your possessions. ignore and look/walk away. the other tricksters are the ones who jingle eiffel tower statues on big key rings, and these guys with looped string who try to put them on your finger as a ring.

keep your shit out of your pockets and in something zipped and you can ignore this advice all you want ;)

maybe you've already been before, but if you haven't enjoy every second of it!

i've never been before, so i am really looking forward to it. thanks for all the information. most of the advice i got was given to me by my friend megan and she also said to get champagne and sit under the eiffel tower late at nite. :) so we will definitely be doing that.

got it. nothing in pockets. thanks :)
