i had the pleasure of meeting up with an old friend emily merrell and her younger sister ali. i met emily back in like 4th grade when i was 10. she moved to connecticut somewhere around or after the 6th grade and i hadn't seen her since... yeah, so it had been like 12 years+. when i saw on facebook that she was coming to prague, i told her that i live here and that we had to meet up.
on monday nite matt and i met them outside of kavarna slavia(a super famous cafe next to the river just 3 minutes from our flat) and walked them to our place and had a nice couple catch up hours of talking. it was really amazing to see how much time flies and how funny it is to see us both in the same place again... in europe. she studied in buenos aires(now in manhattan working for club monaco) for a while and her sister ali is in edinburgh finishing up some studying. such sweet, beautiful girls. :) our moms were really close when we were younger and now i think they'll meet up again someday soon in delray beach. after our lovely chat, we sent them off to eat at the delcious karavanseraj for some tabouli, falafel, etc etc etc. they loved it just as much as i do.
the following nite we went to deminka palace where they were staying. such a nice hotel. we drank some wine and then headed to the pind for some indian food. we had never been there before, but it was super good. we all shared a list of things.... papadum, naan, samosas, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, bangan bharta, aloo gobi, and for dessert mango kulfi. we stuffed ourselves. after dinner, we met up with drew and headed somewhere close to get a goodbye drink. the yes club is attached to their hotel so we figured we'd try it out. yeaaah... not for us. we stayed for a quick drink. within minutes we all wreaked of cigarrettes and i had a headache from the techno bass music and smoke. then to their place to wrap it up while emily read about some guy and his alcohol level haha... said our goodbyes. i really enjoyed seeing these ladies. so smart and sweet.

I LOVE that you took pictures of the food and not the people :) You're adorable and I think it's great that you love food as much as I do haha
oh yeah. i'm baaadddd. i did take a few photos of them, but none of mine turned out great cause the lighting/iphone situation. emily took some and i'm waiitng on her to post them. but that's also why i linked ali's blog so people could see photos of them. :)
