went to a food convention last week with my brother iam the chef. christalyn and i went along with him and got to sample a ton of food. my favorite? deep fried pickle chips. uh huh.
kisa is so warm and sweet. she is resting her head in my hand here. i love her so much... but it's sad because for some reason when anyone comes in our apartment and tries to touch her she gives them the evil eye and hisses.
bikerides are nice. as cherly said, i live dangerously... taking photos and videos and even texting while i ride around my neighborhood.
been making these grainy bagel treats. cream cheese, sprouts, tomatoes, and onions... mmmmmm.

we attempted to make cinnamon bun icecream yesterday. my family was coming over and i had to impress them with dessert. don't think we managed to do that. this tasted like insane whipped cream icecream.

the blueberry cake we made turned out yummy though. iam dolloped a bit of the "ice cream" on top of each slice.
decided to make some ginger carrot dressing. matt has been a bit sick so i figured it'd be a good immune boost.
i tempted the food coloring experiment with milk but i bought gel instead of liquid and it didn't work out as planned.

Can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all
i can't ever tell if it's worse to be on the computer or to watch tv. i usually choose the internet coupled with music. i still feel lazy. i still feel bored. don't like it! time for a bike ride.
this busy/crazy/hectic week is now coming to an end. i had the pleasure of having 3 days off and it felt great. erick and catie are now the kings together and i am so happy for them. their wedding was great fun... filled with dancing and post mayhem. i absolutely loved having everyone here at the same time. i got to know cheryl and andrew which was amazing. i really miss them now! they kept hinting to matt and i to move to cleveland to be by them. it apparently is a cool place! who knew. some new york friends came down as well and i got to know them more as well. really loved being around everyone and kind of sad that we have to wait all over again for more visits.... don't wait so long next time people!

this is going to be an insanely busy week and we're not even the ones getting married. matt has 3 doubles in a row and then of course on thursday i work 9-4 and he works 4-8 and that nite we're separetely busy with the girls and the guys before the wedding. i'm just never going to get used to this schedule business. i don't enjoy it... i just want to spend time with my love. i know, i know... we did spend the whole day together yesterday. it was our first sunday off in 4 weeks together and we did nothing but errands errands errands. and got our door "fixed"... no more cockroaches crawling from under the door... andrew had to kill one lastnite on our porch. ugh.
some of matt's friends (and thankfully i can now say they're "my" friends, too) are here and will be trickling in during the week for catie and erick's wedding. it will be fun-filled for sure.
i also am super thrilled because my mom and i are going to baltimore in 2 1/2 weeks to visit family and friends. we're staying with my friends paola and alex and i can't wait. a little excited about going to trader joe's, seeing my grandpa, my friend anne and her kids, and my uncle.... the reason we're going up is for a memorial type gathering for my grandma who passed away earlier this year. it'll be nice to have a little quality time with my mom, too. looking forward.
also... i bought a brace for my wrist yesterday. it totally sucks, but i have to do whatever it takes to try and fix this if possible. i'm mostly keeping it on my right but switching it to my left a little as well. also, we went to ikea yesterday with matt's mom and stocked up on candles, frames, and some pots&plants. i'm glad. matt and i didn't have any tangible photos of ourselves so we picked out our favorites from the past year and a half and got them printed yesterday. now we're putting them in frames. :)
off to work... 3 massages... i'm sure i'll make a better update soon.. maybe with all positive things next time.
so i got myself a bike off craigslist a few days ago. it's a jc higgins from the 60's... or that's what the guy who sold it to me said. i like it, but i'm really not a bike hipster like all my friends. i mean... i haven't ridden a bike consistently since i was a kid. i get nervous and i feel like i don't know all the rules. silly, but true. i went out today around my neighborhood, a few cross streets over federal and then just a down few blocks on atlantic avenue. i stopped along the way and took some pictures.
