after sweet water, we came straight home to FINALLY try our nakladany brie AND to get in the mood- what better way is there than to drink prague beer? we went to total wine earlier in the day and bought some staropramen and pilsner urquell to pair with this dish that had been marinating for about 5 days. the cheese was really good. i cannot say it was as good as the hermelin cheese the czechs use, but for our first try we were pleased. we ate it at room temperature which is how they do it there. i'd say the only thing i'd change next time is put less peppercorns in the jar cause they managed to seep their way into the cheese and even though they softened we didn't really enjoy eating them(personal preference). we brought the cheese outside and lit up our grill for the first time....
we skewered up some organic chicken sausage with peppers and onions. we brushed oil and spices all over them.
i love that while we're cooking, the music is playing from the speakers of the grill. soooo tight. :)
all in all, yet another beautiful day off together. i couldn't have asked for better weather sitting out on our deck drinking czech beer out of czech mugs and enjoying the cheese that reminded us of our amazing time in prague... ahhh.....
