when i got home from work this afternoon i was in the mood to make something... not because i was hungry, but because a big basket of tomatoes were staring at me. i hadn't made salsa in a long time so that's what i decided to make.
i used:
- 1 orange tomato and 2 red tomatoes(i strained most of the juice out)
- some sweet onion
- a garlic clove
- half of a small jalapeno(i used the seeds... it's super hot salsa)
- half of a fresh lime
- handful of cilantro
- a touch of olive oil
- salt, pepper, and cumin.
then this afternoon at 4 we went to cie's for a green tea tasting. a nice little group showed up and maureen(the tea expert) taught us about different green teas and a lot of information about tea in general. it was fun. we got to try 4 different teas and smell a whole bunch of different ones as well. it really made us want to buy all sorts of tea to bring home.
she made homemade scones and shortbread out of matcha green tea. the shortbread were SO good i'm telling you...(so were the scones)
